Smoker narrowed his eyes at the subtle swirl of wind around Tsuzuki's coat. Too dangerous to rush blindly into. Very well then, hand to hand was how Smoker first learned to fight in the first place. He wasn't nearly as fast as a full human but was far from slow either, able to hold his own chasing pirates all across town, as he'd been known to do with the Straw-Hats. He ran forward to close the gap between him and Tsuzuki and carefully aimed a low kick at the man's legs. It'd be easy to block and even if it connected, the most it would do is send him off balance, but Smoker was testing to see how the shinigami would block.
