I don't think so, but if he did, it'd be the kind of obligation he'd be happy to have. Sort of like being responsible for walking a dog.... only better. It's hard to explain. He just wouldn't think you'd want to be with him that much because he thinks he's not worth it. And that's not something you can change by telling him he is, even if it's the truth. He just won't see it.
