[She slowly drifts to awareness, feeling slightly heavy. The scent of tobacco lingering in the air. Has she been teleported to Sanji's bed again? She raises a hand to her forehead and stops. Her hand is too big. Her arm moves in a different way, a strange way and there is something...... off. Very off. Her body is not her body. Robin opens her eyes and finds herself in Zoro. ...Or, maybe not, though it certainly looks like Zoro minus the scars. Hmm. Pulling back the blankets she lifts the hem of her boxers and checks. Not Zoro then. Unless he has a very interesting dye job. The boxers themselves are white with a Marine logo on them.]

Interesting.

[Was that her voice? No...no of course not, it was his. Smoker, obviously. Who else? She can't seem to access any of his memories though, pity. Though on the other hand.... She concentrates for a moment and feels the changes, as if she has hands that can feel every square inch of air, sensitive to movement, air pressure, incredible power. Though it takes more effort to reform herself, himself? And when she does she finds she has left the boxers behind and it is another interesting sensation all together.]

Well, then.

[A moment later she is dressed and with practice acquired from a similar event, lights one cigar and then, remembering, the other, as she stares at the mirror and Smoker grimaces back at her.]

[This should be interesting.]

[On the first day of the experiment, the Malnosso brought to me... Nothing. At least from Ikki's point of view as he wakes up and goes to do his morning routine, just a normal day like every other. That he doesn't check the journals until later on also helps with keeping him unaware of what's building up around him.

That's why Ikki doesn't even bother to check on Smoker, instead showering himself and later going to prepare breakfast. He can hear the other moving around his room, though so he assumes he's awake at least. If it was someone else besides Ikki he probably would have called out for the other, asking what he wants for breakfast and such. But he's not, so he just waits for the other to come out.]

[On the second day of the experiment, the Malnosso brought to me... A blonde swan. Though actually the first thing he notices is that he's not in his bed. Actually he's not even in his apartment, sleeping in the wilderness wouldn't be that strange if it wasn't because he remembers having gone to bed in his apartment. Did he get teleported or something?

It's as he gets up that he realizes that it's not just the general location what's wrong here. Those aren't his clothes and he's sure he doesn't have long hair, much less blonde long hair. But if he still had doubts, the beautiful pandora box of the swan cloth sitting nearby is a perfect way to confirm it. This is Hyoga's body. Which probably means that Hyoga is at his place, which wouldn't be much of a problem if it wasn't because, well, the guy had already been pretty shocked by Ikki's apparent lifestyle in this place. God knows what could happen if he learns any more... Forget that, there's the issue of the plushies of all the Saints, Marinas and even a few Specters that are sitting on shelves in his room. What will Hyoga think of that? He doesn't care but... Wow, what a blow to his reputation, really, and what if Hyoga gets the crazy idea that he was homesick or something?

Cue Ikki- rather, "Hyoga", gathering everything and running to the apartment at light speed in hopes to get there before "Ikki" wakes up. Unfortunately he doesn't have the key, because this isn't his body, so all he can do is reach the door and... Start knocking at it loud enough to distract anyone from seeing anything.]

Smoker! Open up, the experiment has got me out of the apartment and without keys!

[No, that's not Ikki's voice but he doesn't care. He's going to keep knocking until he gets in. Or he breaks the door, one of the two.]

[On the fourth day of the experiment, the Malnosso brought to me... A grumpy kid.

The good news, Ikki's back in his body. The bad news, he remembers almost nothing because he's a little kid. Oh, he remembers Luceti, because a previous experiment had him as a child as well, but that doesn't stop him from panicking at first and put the apartment upside down trying to find his baby brother, until he remembers that, no, Shun's not here. But that means he's at the mercy of the witch that was trying to steal him! Ikki needs to find an exit from this place soon.

First order of business? Check if that nice Smoker guy is still here and ask him if they have found an exit. Have a little kid bursting into the room "Smoker".]

[On the sixth day of the experiment, the Malnosso brought to me... An alternate universe. Not that it changes much apparently on first sight. Ikki is his normal height and age and in his proper body. It's just that as far as he knows, this isn't really his place. He knows where he is though and it's not the first time he wakes up in his best friend's place, it's still m idly annoyed when those shift happen.

However, Ikki still goes through his morning routine like always, he gets along well enough with Smoker to not care about "making himself at home" when those things happen. It's when he starts to prepare breakfast that something changes... He calls out for Smoker.]

Oi, Smoker! I was shifted to your apartment again, do you want anything specific for breakfast?

[He will also open his journal and make some calls meanwhile.]

[ Kotomi hardly even notices the experiments on the very first day.. she's oblivious after all, and not being affected herself only makes her more oblivious to it. So she's just making her way over to the library just as usual, walking the distance between her house and the library, but she happens to spot a familiar person on the way.. ]

... Ah, Smoker-kun. Good day.

Day 5

[The first few days of this Shift were a mess for the thief--not only was he a woman, but he was anchored to a completely different world. Some of his habits were maintained, others werent--like training with Smoker on a semi regular basis. Red's first order of business, after getting his information straight, was to try to maintain some of Lupin's usual habits after he booted the third party from their collective system.

He was the result of a Shift as well, but it was evident from the beginning that he was a more stable effect.

Still in the body of a woman, another semi-stable effect, Red arrives at the Barracks for self defense training like Smoker and Lupin agreed upon months ago. He was wearing form fitting work-out clothes, and his uncommonly long hair was pulled back into a ponytail.

It was odd for Smoker to not be there on time...but there was a Shift in play. Red was content to wait for a while longer for the Marine to appear.]

[Robin is mildly surprised to find someone else in there. No one she knows and doesn't seem like a Marine. But it doesn't hurt to be cautious, at least for now. Fortunately with two cigars cramped between her teeth (and how does he keep them in there?) it's easy to look annoyed]

[Robin nearly doesn't stop, but then remembers. Well then. She smiles which is difficult because his face seems unused to that]

[Ikki turns only for a moment to look at his friend.]

What do you want for breakfast?

[Interesting question. She just shrugs and tries to sit at the table in the most masculine way possible.]

[She wonders what it will be. How thrilling!]

[That actually makes Ikki pause and look at him. Smoker, do you really think he pays attention to what you consider "usual" for breakfast? Because if so you're wrong.

Still he just shakes his head and shrugs, returning to the task at hand.]

I'm making pancakes so that will be it. If you don't want it make it yourself.

[Perhaps he doesn't have a usual. How interesting. Pancakes, she doesn't mind, but there is one thing she needs in Smoker's body or not. The coffee itself is easy enough to find but she might spend a moment looking around for the ingredients. Cups, sugar, that sort of thing. Finally, though, she has everything assembled.]

You want some?

Of course.

[Yeah, by now Ikki's just frowning, more than usual. Smoker is the one who usually makes the coffee and Ikki always has some as well. And was it his imagination or did Smoker actually seem lost in the kitchen for a second? Whatever, he still says nothing, maybe the other just doesn't have a good day.]

Damn straight. [ Repeating Smoker's phrase back at him once again, even if it doesn't suit her completely blank tone. She smiles back at him though. ]

It's really nice to make a walk on days like this, isn't it..?

[Interesting little girl. Robin is not quite sure what to make of you yet. But how fascinating to be known by a complete stranger]

It is. [And Smoker will probably sound pleasant here but then his tone changes.]

There seem to be another round of experiments going on. Have you been affected?

[Hmm. That frown. Hard to guess why though perhaps she's doing something wrong? Interesting. She watches him out of the corner of her eye and spoons the coffee into the filter except...except she's not doing it. Robin glances at the counter surprised, but then remembers. Only two hands now. How very very strange. Still, though she gets the coffee brewing and then...just because she is feeling slightly evil.]

[Ikki just... Deadpans at that wink, assuming that he's trolling... For some strange reason and in a very strange manner.]

.. Experiments? [ She blinks as if she doesn't have a clue about the whole deal. And she doesn't, really, Kotomi is way too oblivious to pick up on things like that, to an extreme level. ]

[ hey guess who woke up in the wrong body today! It takes Hyoga a while to even figure out that's actually what happened. He keeps himself too far from the village to even notice that there was anything wrong the previous day until he's been affected.

And when he does figure out he can't help but to poke at the very obvious display of...stuffed people toys with oversized heads that Ikki has. Is that a blond Shun in a flowery dress? These are things Hyoga never wondered about his comrade and it was fine that way.

When he finally leaves Ikki's room he's greeted by the only thing that doesn't weird him out today, Hyoga the wolf. At least he expected that, so he reacts fairly well when the pup bumps against him for pettings. ]

...am I supposed to feed you? [ can you hunt, domesticated weirdo? ]

[That is because Smoker is there, but in the wrong body. Nico Robin is carrying a jitte though. After a couple of days, Smoker's adjusted to the fact that he's in Nico Robin's body, and while in general he's trying to pretend to be her in order to obtain information, it's extremely hard for Smoker to keep up a bluff that long. And practicing jitte in this body makes him feel more comfortable with it. And he sprouts less hands or feet accidentally this way. He's not using the seastone jitte though, because Robin is not someone he wants building up a tolerance to it the way he tries to do to himself.]

All right, I'm not sure which one you are, but with the Shift going on, anyone could be anyone at this point.

[It took him a minute to sort out the name of a recent acquaintance of Lupin's, but Red continues sailing smoothly with it.]

[ooor not. Smoker, meet Red. The two of you never actually met.]

Right. Do me a favor and don't let on though. I'm pretty sure I can find out a lot more information from being like this than she can.

...I understand you entirely on that, Captain. Very few people actually recognize me this week. It has it's advantages.

[He chuckles, which comes closer to a giggle to his embarrassment.]

It's Lupin, by the way. Well, Red. You probably caught a few echoes of me during the last time there was an 'anchoring adjustment.' We probably should be wearing nametags, huh?

Heh... Maybe. But I think for now I can handle remembering you're Lupin. I have to admit, I'm a little surprised you're this dedicated. [Since Lupin's probably one of the few students going to show up during this shift.]

[After breakfast and after waking up to find the normally masculine body she's always had changed into the female one she actually wants, Grell is going to dress up and head out to see the one person she wants to meet the most. Doesn't take long, it's just a quick walk to the apartment next door.
