And you think a good way of paying back his sacrifice is ignoring what he'd want or why he did it? Dying for someone can only happen once. Get strong enough and you can protect them hundreds of times over.

He's not even aware he's walking all over you. Either he doesn't realize what's wrong or that anything is wrong or you're hiding it well enough or he's just an idiot; but either way he's happy at the expense of your happiness. So he's taking advantage of your desire to please him and I find that hard to forgive however unintentional.
