Seastone, Blacksmiths, & Regarding Ash's Training

Hey Ash, if you're reading this (otherwise I'll just bring it up next session) I'm thinking of picking up the pace of your training. You're coming along pretty well, but I should talk it over with your other coach, if just to make sure we don't overdo it. What do you think?

To any and all blacksmiths here; it's a long shot since there's no marines, do any of you know how to work with seastone? Anyone at all. If not, I still need a jitte made, but it will take a lot since it goes through more abuse than a lance and needs a tailored weight.

Except there's no spike on the end. It's rounded. And the tine should be near the handle and not stick out too far. And I need it shoulder high.

I'm a devil fruit user. I carried seastone in order to deal with pirates with it, but it always felt like it weighed more to me because of my own devil fruit. And seastone is the hardest substance in my world. So the tip will have to be extra heavy.

... It's a pretty specialized job, so I understand if it can't be done.

And your own jitte wasn't in the smithy when you showed up?

[Either way, he had to figure out a way to compensate for a weapon that apparently weakened the person that used it. It was definitely going to be a challenge, but if he was able to figure out Nash's special weapon, he could do this.]

Well, I guess I can give it a shot. If the prototype isn't to your liking, I can always make another.

Not that I could find. It was a long shot anyway. Broken before I got here so probably too much to hope to even just find the pieces. [[ooc: Marco and/or Ace stole it before he got it because they want to use it against Blackbeard. So it IS here, but he doesn't know it.]]

What's usually the barter system on this kind of thing? Helping out?

Well that's weird. I lost my boomerang and sword before I showed up here, but the Malnosso found them anyway. Somehow.

There's really nothing to barter for here. But... you know, if you ever are near the smithy and it looks like someone's causing trouble, feel free to step in and help out. We get a lot of dangerous people in here, obviously.

Hn. I was hoping I'd have at least the pieces... Tsk. I scoured the area, I couldn't even find a regular jitte, much less my own.

All right, I can owe you all the bodyguard work you need. Just call me when I'm not giving Ash lessons. Or if you need help with heavy metals I guess.

Sounds like a deal. We have a lot of stuff we're working on, but I'll try to get your jitte done as soon as I can.
