[The bibliophiles who frequent the library nearly 24/7 may notice an unusual addition to their numbers. Especially since despite being in a library surrounded by books that could go up in flames rather easily, he doesn't stop smoking. Ever. Not even the two cigars at once. And any protests about this will generally be met with a steely glare and impervious silence. For a while he was trying to get info on magic, but since these books tend to be more highly sought after and Smoker wasn't having much luck with it, he's currently hoarding a small stockpile of books on politics, military tactics, history, and apparently crime novels -- about which he has a grip to ask (quietly) out loud into the journal.]

Is it possible to have gone through all the mystery novels in this place?

And does anyone have something with more actual mystery to it? These are pretty weak. Damn what I wouldn't give for a daily newspaper.

[That's a heck of an impact. Before it's fully registered, Robin finds she's on the ground, a snarling Marine coming after her, and fast. She barely had time to roll under a table, pop up on the other side, and summon a hand out of his back to grab a fistful of hair and pull. She began to edge around toward the door, intending to lead him out as quickly as she could.]

Che... [Snarls and tries to use a white snake to at least grab his jitte and bring it closer, this time planning to keep both hands on the grip. Normally he'd hold his distance, but since that's entirely to Robin's advantage he'll just have to get the seastone on her.]

[The White Hunter. Animalistic. Fights instinctively. What happens when you turn your back on a wild dog? Robin hopped over a chair, bringing herself closer to his reach than she ought, but also giving herself a clear shot for the door. She willed a reckless smile to spread across her lips as another appendage appeared just long enough to slap his face smartly.]

Seems the White Hunter isn't all his reputation's made him out to be.

[Robin turned and ran for the door.]

[Sure he knows he's being baited, but being left to grump in the library while still getting slapped isn't exactly appealing so he's just tearing off her like a wild dog.]

[SUCCESS!!! Robin burst out of the library and into the snowbound village, the crisp air almost strangling her as her body worked to adjust.

Now, how to not die? Sanji's diner would be just around the corner, but she didn't feel like completely running away. Sadly, the water fountain was iced over, otherwise she'd work to dump him in there and let some passer-by fish him out. Redirect his anger, then? That may work, given she could find a suitable secondary target.

Her mind still scrambling to find a solution, she turned to face him. Even the best laid plans would do no good if he were to catch her from behind.

Robin sure missed her coat.]

[Silly women and forgetting important things like that. Smoker meanwhile just swings the jitte violently with all intents and purposes of pinning her down and stringing her up in handcuffs.]

[AU!Fail ninja!Luffy's voice is going to echo through the air, but he's not seen. Not just yet]

Tiger, shark, lion, ox, bird, pig, sheep, rat, dragon, turtle, wolf!

[And BAMF, suddenly Luffy is flying towards Smoker's skull with a somersault kick headed towards his face. It's actually.. kind of a weak kick, but GUESS WHAT SMOKER!? He can actually hit you now. Yeah, he has some awesome Ninja haki thing going on. And he's incredibly fast.]

GALE: Rising Sun of Animal Formation in the Heat of Tension!!!

[Robin did her best to duck out of the way of Smoker's weapon, winding up doing a somersault in the snow (dangit, freezing and wet now, awesome). When Luffy shows up, calling out strange moves, she just stands where she is, stunned.]

Lu- LUFFY!!!

[Hm. Nico Robin or Straw-hat. Nico Robin or Straw-Hat. Of course using a White Out he could grab both, but that's a lot harder in Luceti and if Straw-hat's slightly (or more) mastered haki, that's going to be a pain to deal with, not to mention it's that much harder, rather impossible, to use the seastone. In the end though, Smoker's eternal tunnel vision wins out. So with one last swipe at Robin's head, he's aiming a White Launcher at Straw-Hat. Because obviously Robin pestering Smoker is her captain's fault.]

STRAW-HAT!!!! [Sound familiar ninja!Luffy?]

[OHSHI-- using awesome ninja skills to cartwheel and back flip out of the way of that attack. As long as he wasn't attacking ROBIN anymore he was fine with it.]

Listen good Smokey-san! [He pulls out some ninja stars from his pocket.] The only one allowed to assassinate Nico Robin-- [Throws HAKI imbued ninja stars at Smoker.]

IS MEEE!

[Wait... what?]

Luffy, what are you talking about?

[And why are you calling Smoker good while you chuck ninja stars at him?]

[Silly Robin, don't you know Luffy likes Smoker. In a Rogers --> Garp way. It's all messed up, but it's One Piece.]

You're planning to assassinate her yourself? [Pause for the confusion of that statement, but Smoker's hitting the shuriken where he can, dodging the rest and takes a few cuts to the cheeks. Stop shaving his scruff!]

Shut the hell up! If you want to off her so badly, then do it instead of leaving her to piss me off! [Screw the jitte, Smoker's just aiming a regular punch at Luffy's head. Even with the rubber making that ineffectual.]

[Don't worry! This version of Luffy isn't rubber, he's just supah speedy and ninja skillz. So that punch is going to knock him back a bit, and he's scramble across the ground before getting up an an awesome ninja like fashion.]

That's what I came here to do! You're the one in the way, Smokey-san!

[STARE]

[.... This... isn't funny, Luffy. At all.]

You must be joking...

[Smoker just stares, then stands asides with folded arms, holding the jitte under the crook of an arm to smack either one of them. Or both as need be.]

By all means then, assassinate away. [Not that he really thinks this will do much, but Luceti pulls some weird stunts. And as far as traps go, ~~Straw-hat doesn't do traps~~ Smoker refuses to be fooled.]

[Oh, did I mention he's wearing a ninja outfit yet? He's wearing a ninja outfit.]

Yosh! You won't escape Nico Robin! This technique will definitely finish you off without fail this time! [He sounds completely serious too. Well serious-ish. He doesn't have a mean tone, but he does seem to have faith in his words.]

Speed of a Rabbit Bear! [He moves so fast that he essentially disappears, before ending up next to Robin, poking at her forehead.] Omae wa mou... shindeiru!

[Robin just... blinks. Then starts laughing. She was worried there for a second. She still harbors a bit of fear that one day they'll turn on her, in spite of her resolve to trust them. This was, to say the least, an unexpected turn of events.]

Perhaps that mask has gone to your head.

[And she'll snatch off the ninja mask to prevent any further brain damage.]

[Arches an eyebrow.]

Are you quite finished?

[Oh gawd trying to cover face. So not yet Smokey.]

Oi, don't take that off! Only 30 people in the world have seen my face!

[Holding the mask high above his head- Robin's a lot taller than Luffy, after all. This has become rather amusing, might as well go along with it.]

A trade, then. If you let me go, for now, I'll give you back your mask.

Alternately you're both under arrest. [Quite dry about this, he hasn't gotten the patience for your childish idiocies pirates. And prison or not he's just going to hang you up in trees or something.]

[Trying to jump and get it but... failing. DANGIT ROBIN.]

I-I guess I don't have a choice then... alright, deal!

[He turns to Smoker.] I'm sorry Smokey-san, but I can't-- [Taking out a little tube thingy] LET YOU DO THAT! VUU VUU VUU! [Yes, he's blowing darts at you Smoker. Not haki imbued though.]

[Robin sloppily slides the mask back down over Luffy's face. Since he seems content to fight Smoker, she'll just let him at it. And slowly edge toward a nearby building. Because she's still freezing cold, and only wearing a long sleeved shirt and pants.

[Aims a kick at Luffy's stomach hard.]

For the record punk. [Another hard cross-right right punch following it up, but a lot easier to dodge this one.] I was just reading. It's your idiot crew who decided you needed my attention. So now you have it. [The final follow-up comes with the jitte pointed at Luffy's throat and more of a tackle pounce.] I suggest you make good use of it.
