[ She takes a shaky breath at the hug, unable to quash the feeling that she's being treated like a small child. It leaves as quickly as it comes, as she knows Smoker doesn't mean anything like that in the least.

She leans on him then, closing her eyes because... In spite of not really doing too much with the day, with all that has already happened she can't help feeling exhausted. ]

... Perhaps I should take a bath first, if that is all right?

[ Why she feels hesitant asking, she doesn't know. But she really would like the opportunity to get rid of the cold sweat she'd been in earlier for comfort's sake at least. ]

And it's probably too hot for hot chocolate. [Smoker cannot teenage girls, no matter how much Tashigi tries to teach him.]

[He just sort of ruffles her head, and tries to figure out how to handle Portgas probably trying to death-from-above the would-be emperor.]

[ It's one of the times where she'll let him, relaxing a little more. It's almost strange to think about how comfortable this is, how safe it is... How much like it feels like she's home.

[He'll set her down right outside the bathroom and scrambles around looking for towels and stuff.] What do you want for clothes? Something comfortable like PJs right?

I suppose lighter night clothing. But what of work today?

[ Someone's clearly not used to all the fussing. At least not like this. Either that or it's infrequent enough that she can't really get used to it. ]

[ She nods before hobbling into the bathroom and closing the door behind her. At least it was Smoker, and in hindsight he probably is the best one who could have appeared to aid her. Even Vegeta might have been a bad idea as Freeza might have tried to take her hostage against him.

At least this way, for today, they're all safe. Even above her pride, that is what matters the most. ]

[When she gets out she'll find light comfy clothes set out, and Smoker in the kitchen with a milkshake all ready, and the dogs fed, while he tries to figure out what to do about Portgas... if anything.]

I ACTUALLY GOT A NOTIF ON TIME

[ It doesn't take her too long to change into it, the nightgown and comfortable robe more than enough. When she comes back out it's after she's brushed out her hair, and it doesn't take her much longer to sit at the table and smile at the then-satisfied dogs.

Of course, there's the matter of what there is left to speak of now... ]
