So far as he can tell, the war with pirates is just going to keep escalating until a possibly breaking point. But Ikki being so sweet and nice and Aang being a good kid for himself gives Smoker warm fuzzies all over. Well, as much as such a feeling can be used to describe anything Smoker experiences. Enough to warrant a grin anyway. For Smoker, that's a lot.]

I think she'd appreciate that too actually. There's a lot to be said for getting to see how the shape of decisions connect the past to the present or future.
