[Voice] Jitte, Self-Defense, and Executions

Hello New Feathers and old, I'm Cap-- Err Smoker. [Wow Proof he has done this message way too many times, he momentarily forgot his own rank. Woops. Not that it even matters here.]

I teach jitte, kickboxing, and basic self-defense outside the barracks, and it's open to anyone, no matter how inexperienced. As you may have heard by now, every so often the Malnosso take people at random for drafts, and while non-combatants have other opportunities to help support, any self defense can help.

For others, I wanted to ask about other world's or country's history regarding executions. Are there any that changed the world, or have other people here seen them personally?

Tch. Perhaps I should have clarified. I was reading a book about French history. From another world. Which got me thinking about how it seems common throughout most worlds.

Also good, I've taught a few people jitte under those circumstances before.

Depending on your home's system of government, one that was done as an attempt or overture to keep order, not a straight-out murder. But still a rather formalized one rather than in the midst of war.

There have been various kinds throughout the ages.. [ Her tone is blank as usually, enough to make you wonder how a girl like her can just speak about it like that, but.. it's just her distancing herself from things as usually, she isn't even really thinking of them as executions as much as information from a book. ]

Historical ones actually. I was reading up on French history from your world.

A most interesting question to ask in a place where they do little good. Still one could question if the execution itself changes the world, or if the one executed changed the world and the punishment stops that. It would be hard for us to really know since we cannot see what the future would have been.

Correct. One could even argue, that an execution as an attempt to prevent the changing of the world by a person in the process of doing so, actually just changes the world even more.

I don't think there's ever been a famous execution, in my world at least. Usually ninja die on the battlefield or kill themselves to keep information withheld. I've executed someone once if that counts for anything. [ Does it, Smoker???? Does she get bonus points for being one of the few that has beheaded someone??? Oh the joys of those that commit grievous offenses against Konoha... ]

[Stalking this post for two reasons. 1) Ace's conversation with this guy's like a fountain of information he might not like to know more about the future. There's still a lot he doesn't understand, but the blanks are slowly getting filled, one small horrific detail at a time.

And 2) this voice plus the topic of execution, triggers something in Sabo's memory and he realizes he actually met him before. Albeit, in a very weird circumstance. This is the Marine guy from Loguetown Robin was wearing when he first met her! And since this is the real thing, he's cautious when he finally decides to speak.]

I don't think anything's gonna compare to the execution of the Pirate King.

Perhaps. Some people are actually pretty content facing their deaths, however.
