[Voice] Jitte, Self-Defense, and Executions

Hello New Feathers and old, I'm Cap-- Err Smoker. [Wow Proof he has done this message way too many times, he momentarily forgot his own rank. Woops. Not that it even matters here.]

I teach jitte, kickboxing, and basic self-defense outside the barracks, and it's open to anyone, no matter how inexperienced. As you may have heard by now, every so often the Malnosso take people at random for drafts, and while non-combatants have other opportunities to help support, any self defense can help.

For others, I wanted to ask about other world's or country's history regarding executions. Are there any that changed the world, or have other people here seen them personally?

[........... Yeah this requires a lot of explanation. 1) Shanks that was in Luceti before 2) broke out Smoker's roommate, Phoenix Ikki because 3) Smoker was trying to get Ikki to stop binge drinking. Shanks disapproved of those methods and also the idea that anyone would try to make their friends drink less, probably. Also 4) Phoenix Ikki gets mad at Smoker's willingness to stick in the marines even under Akainu when it's so obvious Smoker disagrees on his idea of "justice." Not that any of these references will make sense to Shanks in context, but have a pointless bluff to see if Shanks remembers that or not.]

I follow True Justice, not Laws dressed up as Absolute Justice. [Mildly edgy tone even if they're agreeing. Perhaps extra edgy because they're agreeing. Feel free to ask what the fuck that even means, but he might be less forthcoming with a pirate emperor. Ah the price of fame.]

"Loose hound" I believe they call it. [Not something he'd normally own up to so readily, but then, he wouldn't normally be talking with a pirate emperor either. Besides, it seems like nearly every pirate or shichibukai's heard of that reputation and taken to calling him by it more than White Hunter lately anyway.]

Yes, most. How many Marines do you know that actually think about what Absolute Justice entails?

[ a beat. ] Turning ourselves in isn't the same as not running. Every action has a consequence that's dealt with sooner or later. Most pirates run, but not all.

Even if those marines don't contemplate what absolute justice really means or entails, that doesn't mean most follow it. And even of those that they do follow it, that doesn't mean they're corrupt, just seriously misguided. [After all, he's not sure that Akainu's corrupt... just evil =\]

Tsk. If pirates were so eager to abide by societies' rules and consequences, they wouldn't be pirates.
