[Voice] Jitte, Self-Defense, and Executions

Hello New Feathers and old, I'm Cap-- Err Smoker. [Wow Proof he has done this message way too many times, he momentarily forgot his own rank. Woops. Not that it even matters here.]

I teach jitte, kickboxing, and basic self-defense outside the barracks, and it's open to anyone, no matter how inexperienced. As you may have heard by now, every so often the Malnosso take people at random for drafts, and while non-combatants have other opportunities to help support, any self defense can help.

For others, I wanted to ask about other world's or country's history regarding executions. Are there any that changed the world, or have other people here seen them personally?

They're rich and they travel the country at leisure. It's pretty boring but I guess someone would want the job.

I guess not collapse isn't the right word. Maybe in danger of collapsing? Or having no aid would be a better description. [ She's not sure. ]

Wow. So you guys employ pirates to fight pirates? [ ....That doesn't sound like a good idea. ] That kinda sounds like people paying for the Akatsuki to fight other countries. Who made that decision? It doesn't sound like a good one. Have they ever betrayed the marines or did something suspicious, like aid pirates?

You're about right. There's only so much the marines can do in the first place, but it's still a lousy situation on all sides.

Crocodile was just trying to use his status to take over the world starting with Alabasta, Blackbeard only used his position to break prisoners out of Impel Down, Jinbei refused to help against Whitebeard and went on a rampage, and Boa Hancock protected pirates during the war instead of helping. And broke my jitte. [HUFF.]

Yeah, but, sometimes bad things have to happen so both sides can get an understanding. It's unfortunate that some things can't be resolved through negotiations but that's just how some people are.

Yes. Freaking shichibukai. Hn. Boa Hancock still managed to keep her status, but the others are in bigger trouble. Doesn't mean much though since Crocodile was broken out of prison by Straw Hat and Blackbeard is still on the loose. [Well actually his jitte is blunt, not a sword, but fff.]

Hn. Hopefully, but I won't hold my breath. Blackbeard's on a road to devastate a large swath, he's already practically taken over Whitebeard's territory, and Crocodile... tch. The bastard is likely to stay in hiding.

[Yaaay weapons. And yeah, hopefully Robin/the others will develop some kind of haki, but I think it's supposed to be a mark on pure fighting vs. intelligence/cleverness. So Usopp uses clever strategies fitting a marksman, Chopper uses both, etc. but Zoro, Sanji, and Luffy spent the last two years almost only fighting etc.]

And yeah! I think that makes sense. Robin is more of a clever strategist, as is Nami who is astonishingly intelligent. Chopper was never a direct combatant in some respects. ]

Yes. Turning men into stone is devil fruit. Haki is a type of channeling energy or ambition. Kuja is just what all the Amazon Lily warriors use. She's the Empress of the country.

Yeah, that'd be nice. I don't think he'll get dealt with for a long time though.

So it's like raw bursts of energy? [ How convenient. ] Just how many devil fruits are there? And what do they do? [ Wow. A queen and a pirate! Tenten can't help but show admiration for a strong woman. ] Her strength must be really impressive if she's a queen, a pirate and a Shichibukai all at once. How strong and common are female pirates in your world?

Not exactly. Haki is like cosmos. It's very controlled.

There are thousands of devil fruits, every single one is different. Mine lets me turn into smoke, Portgas D. Ace turns into fire, zoans turn into animals, and the rest are even more varied. Straw Hat is made of rubber, Nico Robin can blossom her body parts like flower petals. Boa Hancock turns people into stone.

Hn. Strong women are pretty common in my world. Vice Admiral Tsuru is my rank but with decades more experience. Captain Hina has the black cage devil fruit and she's one of my best friends. Big Mam is a pirate emperor who's one of the four strongest pirates in the world. And the Kuja warriors are all female. Amazon Lily is an island of only women warriors, men aren't allowed.

Not really. The kuja warriors coat their arrows with it to pack an added kick. And Boa Hancock just used it with her kicks.

Correct on devil fruits though. And there's probably a type of weapon one somewhere, yeah.

Hm. There are still some gender problems women face, but that's because not as many women choose to go into the military, so the few that do often work harder to prove themselves. My second in command, Tashigi, is a swordswoman despite the rarity of that.

Vice Admiral Tsuru is extremely strong. She washes up whippersnapper pirates like that. [Snaps his fingers.] And Hina has the iron bars or cage-cage devil fruit and she was in charge of the Baroque Works investigations when I left the area. And both of them were at the war of Marineford. So was Tashigi and one the giant squad members who's a woman.

Well, Chakra can be channeled in such a manner too. It can make strength particularly formidable, and it can coat weapons for extra sharpness. Or you can make an explosive with it.

Hm! Then I'd be interested in consuming it if the opportunity ever arises! It sounds like a good idea to compliment my scrolls!!

She washes up pirates? You mean, she has a water devil fruit? Both marines sound exceptional to work alongside with! Tashigi sounds very good too. From one weapon woman to another, it's nice to see that there's someone similar to me in your world! Is she well versed with all swords?

Interesting. You can't really channel haki into an explosion. Except that at extremely high levels it can make much weaker foes pass out.

Scrolls? What kind of scrolls?

Tch. That is unfortunate. I'm not sure what the expectations or not for women are, so I guess you could talk to one of the women from my world here. Bellemere was a strong marine officer in the marines as well. She left the marines in our world for personal reasons, but it's not as though a man wouldn't make a choice like that either. And Cat Buglar Nami and the Demon Woman of Ohara Nico Robin are still extremely formidable foes. Hell, I'd worry more about Nico Robin than their idiot chef.

No, Tsuru hangs them out to dry. Like laundry.

And Tashigi is best with katana, but she's a nerd about all swords, yeah. What kind of weapons do you specialize in?
