Ooc: Open Log

Who: You (should you choose to accept it obvs.)
Where: Random Pitstop Island to pick up Charle, get milk (no really), transfer pirate prisoners to a mainland prison, Garp and Smoker fight over Tea vs. Coffee, Smoker beats up more pirates and goes out on the bike. He needs it. Go wild if if you want to put something down like skipping in daffodils.
What: Whatever you want. Also Smoker's taking a motorcycle ride.
When: Whenever.
Why: Bored and still can't come up with a meme. It's a slow night. PLUS there are like 20 marines now. Start interacting with each other.
Rating: Whatever you want. Go wild. My notifs are barely working as it is. (I'll add in warnings for myself if it happens.)

Smoker rubbed his bike down with a cloth. A basic inspection now that they were at an island and he wanted to get out and stretch his legs. The buildings were too far apart for building jumping but that suited him just fine. He'd barely gotten to use his bike in the last few months and it was driving him crazy. Being in close quarters with Garp on a semi-regular basis only reminded him just how much he needed to break out. It was the same feeling he'd had as a teen, desperate to break free from all restraints and burn up the track. He needed the thrill of the hunt, the thrill of just being in motion, knowing that he was going somewhere he wanted to go, taking down foes, following true justice. Freedom really. Tashigi knew enough by now to know his plans regarding this so he didn't even bother informing her beyond the note he left on his desk. She had her own errands to run in any case.

He finished scrubbing down his bike, checking her over for any new nicks or scratches, wear and tear of the ocean and flicked the lights to life before shutting off the radio he'd had playing in the background. For the dozenth time in the last two hours, Smoker debated going up to find Karen to beg her to come out with him. He hated begging though, couldn't bring himself to do it. He really just wanted to pick her up, sit her on the bike and take off and just enjoy the bitching she gave him over it, but he had a feeling the repercussions would last longer than just her yelling at him. He ran a hand through his hair, trying once again to figure out how to deal with the woman. Garp solidified the feeling that he needed to figure it out, but the Vice Admiral seemed to think being confusing was just a woman's job in life. Actually, given nearly every other woman Smoker had ever known, that was quite possibly the case.

Maybe if he picked up some jewelry and flowers in town. Or a bottle of wine. Damn, the woman turned him around. One night stands he could deal with smoothly, but Karen would always be something else.

She opened the door and came inside, carrying the sweets in her arms for him. Tashigi brought him sweets back then and he liked them, so she guessed it was alright for her to do the same. She smiled when she saw him and moved to be next to him, giving him the sweets.

"I brought you sweets!" she said smiling cheerful for him. "The ship stopped in an island and it was alright to do things in the island. So I thought that you would like eating something so I went to get them!"

"I love sweets... Thank you so much..." He said with a big smile. His face looked tired as ever though. For some reason, he still was weak. He had really noticed it when Lala had been gone, but now that she was back, he felt a little better. "Is the island nice...? I don't have a very nice view from here..." He thumbed up at the window before digging into the candy.

"You are welcome!" she said, sitting in next to the bed again. She liked being around him, and since she was his little sister, she had to take care of him. She was happy that he liked the sweets, but she was a bit worried for the reason that he was still tired.

Maybe she could go and ask a doctor about it later. "It's nice. I have never seen something like that before, but I prefer being next to you."

"That's very sweet of you... but I'm sure there are much nicer things to do than sit next to a sick man..." He smiled as he popped a jelly bean in his mouth. She was such a sweet angel. He knew she was a doll, but to him, she was just like he was: human by choice. The thought made he feel they were more like family by the moment.

"You look concerned... Are you worried about me...?"

"But I prefer spending time with you!" she replied quickly and firmly, which it was true. Being next to him made her feel useful, and not only to sing, but also to exist. Lala liked to see him smile to her, and she was planning to work hard to get more smiles from him.

"You still look tired... Are you sleeping properly?"

"It seems I'm not sleeping as long anymore... Maybe I'm restless or something..." Chewing on a piece of taffy, he eyed the door. One of birds flew into the room. Hovering over Lala for a moment, it landed on her shoulder.

"They really like you... I'm glad..."

"Maybe you need a lullaby to sleep." she suggested as she smiled the bird when it landed on her shoulders. She always liked these birds because they were special. She chuckled a bit showing how happy she was.

"I like them too! They are really nice."

"It does help me get to sleep... Hm..." Finishing off another salt water taffy, Tsuzuki smiled weakly. She was worried. He had to distract her from those thoughts. She was too sweet to be burdened with his unknown ailments.

"Why don't you sing for them...? I'm sure you'd brighten up the room too..."

"Then I will sing to help you sleep, Big Brother. To make you smile more." waiting for him to finish, she smiled back at him and begun to sing (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NiQsDKkk4xo).

Leaning back against the wall, Tsuzuki smiled as Lala's voice filled the room. Almost on cue, three more birds flew into the infirmary. As they flew about her, rising and falling with her vocals, he stared at her in awe. She looked like an angel or an earth spirit, charming her environment with her voice. As heavy as his eyes were, they didn't close though. Perhaps he was just enchanted by the sound of Lala's song...
