Log 002

[She slowly drifts to awareness, feeling slightly heavy. The scent of tobacco lingering in the air. Has she been teleported to Sanji's bed again? She raises a hand to her forehead and stops. Her hand is too big. Her arm moves in a different way, a strange way and there is something...... off. Very off. Her body is not her body. Robin opens her eyes and finds herself in Zoro. ...Or, maybe not, though it certainly looks like Zoro minus the scars. Hmm. Pulling back the blankets she lifts the hem of her boxers and checks. Not Zoro then. Unless he has a very interesting dye job. The boxers themselves are white with a Marine logo on them.]

Interesting.

[Was that her voice? No...no of course not, it was his. Smoker, obviously. Who else? She can't seem to access any of his memories though, pity. Though on the other hand.... She concentrates for a moment and feels the changes, as if she has hands that can feel every square inch of air, sensitive to movement, air pressure, incredible power. Though it takes more effort to reform herself, himself? And when she does she finds she has left the boxers behind and it is another interesting sensation all together.]

Well, then.

[A moment later she is dressed and with practice acquired from a similar event, lights one cigar and then, remembering, the other, as she stares at the mirror and Smoker grimaces back at her.]

[This should be interesting.]

[Ooc: Robin will be everywhere today trying to see what trouble she can get into.]

[Head tilt as he comes out to glance at Ikki and figure out what's happened to his bff this time.]

The Malnosso are really having a ball this week. That or whatever they were trying for, royally screwed up.

[Have Ikki blink and look at you as if you have grown a second head. And no, it's not due the shift that made you a girl, he remembers that.]

What do you mean with that? You know I'm not one to give a damn about the Malnosso but the way you said that sounds as if you're blaming them for the shifts.

[Which is a bit ridiculous, true that they aren't extremely trustworthy in Ikki's opinion, but they are the ones that normally stop the shifts, not the ones who provoke them.]

[BLANK STARE. He kind of remembers something about this sort of brainwashing...]

Hey, do remember me being married to Lav-- Labrador?

[That makes Ikki look uncomfortable for a second, after all as tough as they are, it's still a delicate subject, but why is Smoker bringing it up now? As far as he knows, Labrador and Kirimi, along with other people like his own mother, have vanished from Luceti in the last year, going into the woods and never returning. But there's still always hope that they may return, some have done so after all, haven't they?]

Have he and Kirimi returned?

Everyone's really out of sorts week so don't take it too hard if they remember things differently, okay?

So it's one of those wild shifts, awesome. Whatever, as long as my sister is still my sister and my girlfriend still remembers being my girlfriend I don't care.

[Actually he's going to start to check the journals as he finishes with the breakfast.]

Of course I mean her, who do you take me for? You know I've been after her since we were kids, as if I was going to suddenly date any other girl.

Right, of course. Just making sure, what with the shift and all.

I have no doubt she remembers too, she's good about that. [And the Malnosso are arguably nicer? Smoker is really starting to wonder about their priorities. And something about how maybe Kotomi & Ikki are some sort of truly transcendent love whereas he and Grell are totally and completely cursed. It would explain a lot, okay.]

There's no shift that could make me forget her. And even if that happened I would probably just end with her anyway. It's not as if there are any other girls in this village that could interest me.

[Oh look, for a moment he sounded tired of the village. But it's natural since this is the only thing he has ever known, it's natural to be curious of the outside.]

You're right, she tends to forget things but I've never seen her forget someone.

Like I said, she's good about that. I just have worse luck with shifts I guess. That and you were probably right about me and one-night-stands. [Cursed. Cursed forever.]

Grell's finally got the body she wants and... [Well he's Robin :| So. Yeah.]

I should see how Keimi's holding too. It seems like every day is bringing something different.

Or maybe you just don't have guts to charge through certain things.

If Grell has the body she wants and she's happy, what does it matter if you're in the wrong body? You're still you and love isn't just about banging the other at any chance you've got.

[Even in an alternate universe Ikki seems to have issues with the idea of sex, maybe because here his parents divorced, his mother married again and had a trillion of kids with her new husband as if it was a must.]

[Facepalms with one hand... which then sprouts into three. He still doesn't have the hang of this.]

[Sort of waves and rolls about eight hands. God this is harder than it looks to control.] Okay I'll try to come up with date ideas to take her o--

[Ikki just settles to eat his breakfast and starts munching.]

I said "certain things", not everything. How far have you gotten with Grell even under normal circumstances? I know that Labrador vanishing was a hard hit, but you're an adult man and still have one daughter. And Grell loves you a lot.

[It's the world upside down, Ikki trying to give love advice?]

You're now in a body you're not comfortable with. Guess what? That's Grell's everyday life. And I don't see why you can't get creative if you really wanted to go through.

Point well taken. [Even if his concern is more that he does have the body Grell wants him to have, crazy as that sounds.] I'm not sure I'm the creative type, but I'll come up with something. We were flirting a year long before anything ever happened so... [A shrug.] Keimi's been dying for a double date with us and Daisy too, maybe that will work. Make it a girl party.

[It's the experiment, Smoker, remember than normally Ikki is too much in denial and too prideful to be good at his relationship with Kotomi.]

You sure it's a good idea to go on a double date with your daughter and her girlfriend?

I think it's a terrible idea and I try to keep the part of me that thinks of Keimi as my daughter and Daisy as her girlfriend as separate as humanly possible, but if you've ever seen Keimi happy you know it's really hard to disappoint her and say no.

And I do want Grell and Keimi to get along. They both love fashion... which is over my head.

And Grell keeps saying I need to give Keimi more confidence... [Which he has no idea how to do. At all. At all. He tends to think "get stronger = get more confidence" rather than vice versa.]

Don't be stupid, Keimi is your daughter, you can't stop thinking of her that way. You're not that type of person.

I don't really see how going out with both of them is going to give her more confidence, unless you somehow manage to not act as a policeman and don't watch over them like a hawk... Which I doubt you can do.

Anyway, first you should settle yourself with Grell properly before worrying about her relationship with Keimi.

Depends on who your partner is I suppose. With Kotomi our dates tend to be walks around the village, visits to the library and maybe eat something together. Just spending time together, but I suppose Grell will be a more active type.

And yes, she is. Which is fine, because so am I... except... [Except physical things like baseball that he likes, he kind of doubts would be Grell's thing. And walks around the village right now just seem hazardous. And hide and seek without his own body seems extra ridiculous... and pointless.]
