Right, this is Smoker. I'm back in my own body, thanks to everyone who helped when I was a kid, and you know... during the shift.

Jitte and kickboxing lessons will be delayed until the 10th, but that doesn't mean stop practicing. Keep up the exercises, because I'll be very disappointed if any of you start slipping.

For anyone else interested in joining in, I teach basic self defense, kickboxing, and jitte. There are one-on-one sessions and group sessions, feel free to ask about a schedule because with the drafts ongoing, at least you can learn something to get a fighting chance for survival.

And who still here in the village knows anything about motorcycles? A friend recently reminded me life can be too short not to pursue some things.

Lupin, if you still remember the thing I asked Red about, I'd like to discuss it.

How much did he really think he could keep a lot of those things secret in a place like Luceti, and how much could they really matter? But then again... it's definitely not the Malnosso's place (or anyone else's, including the marines) to force those secrets out into the open against Portgas' will. So neither side of thinking is one Smoker's willing to express. Besides, it raises another implication when added to the pattern of what else the Malnosso have done to Smoker's friends, and even himself.]

Seems like they seem to isolate precisely the things that will affect everyone the most.

It means you go out together just the two of you. To dinners, or something fun. On dates. Do you remember part of the event? After you were both kids, he believed you'd grown up in Luceti all your lives; that this was home. And you were dating then. It's basically a romantic thing. Like a small step towards marriage and in the similar direction of a physical relationship.

So? If you don't trust her to make her own decisions for herself; even if you disagree with them, you're not trusting her to even be strong enough to get stronger or wiser.

That's about the lowest a bar can be set for someone. And she definitely deserves better than that.

She might be naive, but she's not stupid. If you weren't good for her, she wouldn't like you so much.

Her "own decisions". You forget that the reason we even started to talk to each other was due an experiment, in which none of us was in their right mind. Why are you so sure it's her "own decision"?

But Hyoga on the other hand is much more used to feeling powerless. He doesn't like it but it doesn't piss him off the same way it might Ikki. ]

Because after the fact you're both clear and in your own minds. True strength isn't preventing anything bad from ever happening, it's to keep getting stronger and do better after the fact.

And letting something good like dating each other come from a shift is actually a good thing.

Keimi adopted me after the other one, but it was both our choices after the fact. Simply deciding nothing good can happen from the experiments because it taints them is too stupid. And it's weak.
