ooc: Open Log
Who: Smoker/Karen & Yachiru & Lavi & anyone else who sees them on deck and wants to interrupt/say hi/show up (tags added as anyone shows up)
What: Discussing her past
Why: Because he worries and she's upset-ish
Where: Main deck of the Lady Justice.
When: Late tonight-ish. (September 21st)
Rating: First thread PG-13, Second thread PG-ish, Third thread R. My bad.
Scrubbing the back of his neck with a palm, Smoker stomped the wooden deck with heavy booted heels. He was trying not to let it show how worried he'd been but a "talk" with uncertain parameters made him jumpy. "Karen," he greeted gruffly, voice sounding far more certain and assured than he actually felt. He didn't cross the remaining distance to stand by her side, instead running a gloved hand through wiry green-grey hair and drinking in the sight of her against the darkened ocean.

Her thoughts were cut when she heard her name in that all too familiar gruffy tone. She smiled sweetly over at him. "Hello to you. I hope I didn't call you out in the middle of something."

The marine stood next to her still with some distance between the two of them, his arms crossed on the railing. He didn't touch her yet, not until he knew what was going on better. Especially not if she wanted to call it off. "You wanted to talk?" His voice was slightly less than before but covered in the gruff abrupt tone he wore all too well.

"Subaru...and Kamui, are people in my world that are also the same as me with our destinies intertwined." She mused with a small frown. "I suppose it was just a bit of a reminder of what's at home."

Smoker glanced back out over the ocean with a small sigh. "Sometimes people who show up here know different... times of friends they knew in their world. And sometimes the people they know are more like what-if twins. Fiyero is looking for an Elphaba he knows that isn't the same Elphaba I know but they're very similar. His isn't even allergic to water. That's why he took off on his own now."
He looked back at the red-head seriously, "The rest of the seven dragons could still wind up here. Just like Fiyero's other Elphaba maybe. If they do... I'd like to be able to recognize them. They're important to you." And if they were important to her, they were important to him.

"As for the others...Once more, there are seven, six if you exclude myself since I'm already here. Subaru, the 13th head of the Sumeragi-clan, the topmost onmyouji in Japan. Arashi Kishuu, the Kakushi Miko 'Hidden Shrine Maiden' of the Ise Shrine, who is the protector of Ise, and possess the power of the shrine, which will not be used unless it is absolutely necessary. Sorata, who was raised by the famous 'Stargazer of Kouya' Stargazer at Mt. Kouya. Yuzuriha, a very lively 14-year-old girl from Mitsumine Shrine, the one that uses wolves as the servant spirit. This family uses her wolf spirit to defeat demons. Aoki, He is a "windmaster" which means his power comes from the wind." At Aoki's name her toned soften just a bit with the lingering thoughts on the man who promised to cry for her. "And finally...Kamui. Our leader who was to choose his destiny with either us or the others.."
no subject
"Hm," Smoker focused intently memorizing the names. "The shrine...? What does it do? Could it work here?" It sounded a little like the weapons stowed away in this world, hopefully never uncovered. "Stargazer?" He glanced up the stars himself, not sure what Sorata's title meant. "Wolves that fight demons... from such a young girl. Jyabura would probably like that. I suppose if she does show up the sub might be the first to know with the wolf pack they have there." Aoki, easy name to remember sounded like Aokiji but wind instead of ice.
"Kamui," Smoker chewed the ends of the cigars, tensing slightly again. If her leader showed up and didn't want to be near the marines, what would Karen do then? "Seems you both want to find him. The Kamui and Subaru you know are also brothers?"
no subject
"That's the thing...Kamui in my world was an only child. Subaru had a sister to my knowledge, so to know they're now related...it's rather odd." She pouted.
no subject
"Very strange," Smoker agreed, reaching up to brush her soft cheek with a finger. "If they come here, Karen, any of them, I promise we'll find them." He paused uncertainly. Something she'd said before was still nagging him. "Kamui. You said he had to choose your fate or with the others? The other what, seals?"
no subject
"Well..." She started and looked up to stare at the sky. "Kamui...is two people. His fate was in his own hands. With one Kamui comes a twin star. If the Kamui we knew wasn't going to lead us then he would of lead the others...known as the Seven Angels as well. We're the Seals, however, we are angels as well. It IS rather confusing at times. But- in The Book of Revelations, Judgment will be made by Angels. Seven seals are broken and the final battle commences. We're trying to prevent the seals, or markers in Tokyo from being destroyed...if a spirit Shield is destroyed, the one who makes the Shield dies as well...otherwise known as me and the others I named...With good comes evil. Two sides of the scale. Kamui just happened to pick our side instead of the others...who got the Other Kamui named Fuuma.." Her voice lowered, remembering the boy with sad eyes that died above her and for her by that man...

Oblivious to the fact that she could be interrupting something, she bounded up to the two of them and hopped onto Smoker's shoulder. "I knew you liked pink hair! You should dye your hair pink again~"

"Hello to you." She smiled up at the small girl with vibrant pink hair.

"It would! It would! See Smokey-chan~ the pretty lady thinks so too so you don't have to hide it anymore!" She looked at him expectantly. She was sure he'd be happy to not have to hide his secret desires any longer!

After a moment longer of searching, she found a nice little area out of normal view that overlooked the ocean with the moon caressing the water in pale light. "Hm, this looks good enough~" She smiled to herself before she glanced back to see Smoker and waved over at him.
