[The video hangs from a bird's eye view literally, swaying up high in the wind and zooms in slightly on two shadowy figures. A grey-haired kid is leaning over a woman and from behind you can't tell who it is. There's brightly colored balls around them and it's fairly bouncy. Grey-haired man leans in and kisses the woman, the black wispy dress sticking out sort of triangular around the legs. The camera angle zooms away into the sky and the video cuts out.]

...hm. I think I've only used it once on him.

N-not that I recall. I think the most trouble he causes is eating other peoples belongings and spitting them up later. Keys and lockets and the like.

Actually, I think Allen's hunger comes from his Innocence. Being parasitic, I think his body requires more to keep it going.

Yeah... Seems half of the time I get up at night he's at the refrigerators. It's fine though, marine ships are always well stocked. None of my men ever go hungry. Call it a perk to not being a pirate.

That is more or less impossible. I've had more money than I know what to do with for some time. Marines don't get the full money for bounties but they do get partial bonuses. I hunt pirates for fun. He cannot possibly deplete our resources. Even if he was a D.

I don't allow cheating at my poker table.

I won't let him get hurt. I was almost always hungry when I was his age. The year before I joined the marines. That's when I really hit my growth spurt. Until then I was tiny.

In short that Allen isn't my kid, one of my men and as such I should let him go if Cross wishes to take him from the marines though he thinks it's unlikely.

...I'm afraid I'd have to agree with Lavi, Smoker. I know that... it's not the best of situations, and I sort of don't want him to go with the General either if he does show up, but...

You have to understand. Allen... Allen has a duty higher than that of an Exorcist. He's... the Destroyer of Time. He's the one that's supposed to end this war, though... it's... not exactly sure for which side he's going to end it...

So I'm just supposed to abandon him to whatever fate supposedly has in store him? I don't believe in destiny. I believe in justice. And letting him get hurt just so he'll get stronger from it.... What if he dies here Miranda? Then it wouldn't even matter. I can't just...

I'm not trying to interfere. But I can't stand by and make him face something he shouldn't have to. It's not justice. He trusts Cross and from everything I'm hearing the man doesn't deserve it. If he runs off I have little doubts he'll wind up in piracy and...

Smoker. He is not going to die. There have been... so many instances in which he was supposed to die. And he doesn't. Something or someone protects him. And he's not the only one. Rinali was supposed to die too. And she was saved. Lavi too. Even me. There's... we won't be allowed to die. We need to accomplish something before that happens, though I'm not sure what.

I have more faith in Allen than that. He will not turn into a pirate. For God's sake he's a Noah! He's supposed to be on the enemy's side, but he's not. His sense of justice keeps him doing the right thing. You surely do not need to worry about him.
