Smoker apprehensively lit his cigars on the deck of Lady Justice. He'd been planning this for weeks, trying to find a way to get the words not to stick in his throat, trying to find a way to set it up without looking like an idiot. But to hell with waiting. He'd go at his own pace and trying to make it perfect just wasn't his style. If she couldn't deal with him being him, that was her problem. He wasn't going to change what worked for him. Still, he was nervous. It didn't make sense to do it wrong if he could do it right but that just meant there was a chance to mess it up.

Dressed in her usual black, Karen hopped up the steps of the deck below to the upper deck of the Lady Justice. A cool night. Crisp with the sea air lacing the soft wind that tossed fiery curls around her face.

After a moment of adjusting to the darkness, she saw the lone orange glow of a cigar, a usual night light~, and she wandered over to its source. "Cool night."

With a tilt of her head she glanced up at him. "Oh? A summer island?"

"I've never had a warm winter. Usually around this time of the year it's always snowing." She said with a faint smile at the memories of white Christmases with the lights of Tokyo being the illumination. Sure they were always spent alone, but it was a warm atmosphere among the cold days.

She couldn't help but smirk just a bit at that. Like a man with a fancy car. Always wanting to make sure it was in the most tip top shape.

Golden eyes looked out over the water with reflection of the clear skies mimicking their illumination on the surface of the ocean. A snowy town would be pretty to see. "Sounds like a busy schedule~"

"A train? I haven't been on a train in years." She mused quietly with a smile. Too many people..too crowdy. Too- easy. Just like the one derailed by that boy with the vacant sad eyes...

She shook her head. Here at least there were nothing wrong with trains. It wasn't apart of the seven pillars that supported Tokyo.

"Nope." She chirped. "What kind of train is it? Steam?"

She smiled lightly at that. He did try so hard. "Sounds magical. To be on the water like that."

"Mm, it's one of the main ways to get around Tokyo that's not walking. Driving's always stressful." She said with a smile. "Building jumping's always my favorite though~"

Karen couldn't help but smile a bit, however, she tilted her head back and peeked up at him. "So- I don't think you really brought me out here to discuss trains." She mused.

"What's on your mind?"

"Seemed like there was more on your mind." She mused while she plucked his cigar from his lips to take a playful drag of smoke herself.

"So~ Once more. What's on your mind?"

She stared at him for along moment.

With a tilt of her head she smiled. "You know I love you, too. If you don't, I'll beat you up." She teased.
