Who: Karen/Smoker
What: Talking and idek yet
Where: Deck at night
When: late late Wednesday night.
Rating: PG subject to change
Smoker apprehensively lit his cigars on the deck of Lady Justice. He'd been planning this for weeks, trying to find a way to get the words not to stick in his throat, trying to find a way to set it up without looking like an idiot. But to hell with waiting. He'd go at his own pace and trying to make it perfect just wasn't his style. If she couldn't deal with him being him, that was her problem. He wasn't going to change what worked for him. Still, he was nervous. It didn't make sense to do it wrong if he could do it right but that just meant there was a chance to mess it up.

After a moment of adjusting to the darkness, she saw the lone orange glow of a cigar, a usual night light~, and she wandered over to its source. "Cool night."

"I've never had a warm winter. Usually around this time of the year it's always snowing." She said with a faint smile at the memories of white Christmases with the lights of Tokyo being the illumination. Sure they were always spent alone, but it was a warm atmosphere among the cold days.

"In Loguetown it would probably start snowing soon... But there's always a first."

Golden eyes looked out over the water with reflection of the clear skies mimicking their illumination on the surface of the ocean. A snowy town would be pretty to see. "Sounds like a busy schedule~"

"Nope." She chirped. "What kind of train is it? Steam?"

"Mm, it's one of the main ways to get around Tokyo that's not walking. Driving's always stressful." She said with a smile. "Building jumping's always my favorite though~"
no subject
"Oh... driving bikes? They use sea bulls in Water 7. The streets are all water; canal ways. It's a big giant fountain. You'll see." He gave her a small affectionate squeeze around the shoulders, "There is definitely something to be said for building jumping. Always been my favorite. Getting away from it all, easy to see everything..."

"What's on your mind?"

"I wanted to talk to you," he said slowly rolling a cigar in his mouth to afford time to fix this. "A guy gets to call his girlfriend on deck every once in a while, doesn't he?"
no subject
"So~ Once more. What's on your mind?"

With a tilt of her head she smiled. "You know I love you, too. If you don't, I'll beat you up." She teased.
