Smoker checked in on the separate bedroom car he'd gotten his Ensign. It figures. She would have motion sickness. Good thing he'd never dragged her along on his bike. And at the minimum she didn't get seasick because if there was marine in this world who would, just to frustrate him further, it would wind up being her. "Hey little lady," he joked knowing how much she hated being called that. "Have a drink." He didn't tell her what was in it. A combination of what Michiko had suggested.

"Yes sir..."

She nodded slightly and listened carefully about the who deal with Karen. She thought for a moment, and then smiled shaking her head. "Perhaps she doesn't want to bother you with it, Smoker-san."

Perhaps she was speaking more for herself, than Karen, but she was never quite sure why that little pool of unease rumbled through her chest whenever she was left behind when everyone else was able to go out and have fun. She closed her eyes and breathed in slowly, masking the look of discomfort (aimed at her own acknowledgment of jealousy for almost everyone else) for one of sickness as she thought out the words quickly.

"Perhaps she is just homesick?"

That one was definitely aimed for Karen, she noted. "Not every woman is going to simply tell you how she feels about certain things, sir. You may just have to let it go and allow them to be alone for a while until they get themselves in order..."

That she noted, may have been directed more at herself than Karen, but she hoped he wouldn't see through it.

She took the drink thankfully, sipping at it slowly, careful not to upset her stomach. Her free hand returning from patting the other's hand, before it was placed calmly on her own lap. She thought about answering truthfully for a few moments, but quickly pushed the thought back in favour of lying. No doubt Smoker would find out eventually... but right now... she wasn't going to let him know about the jealous feelings, not until she couldn't stand it anymore.

Unknowingly, that hand on her lap balled into the soft material of the blanket and her lip was bitten in a slightly nervous habit. "No sir, nothing wrong." She could tell even from the soft quality her voice came out, that Smoker wasn't going to buy it right away. "I'm sure I'm just a little worn out, sir. Everything combined must've just took everything I had energy wise."

Her head tilted and her lip was bitten harder. "Sir, it's nothing." She felt her shoulders tighten and then relax, before she realized it wasn't at all his fault and perhaps she was taking it out on him. "... I apologize if that came out meaner than it should have."

She almost didn't notice the glass cracking in her palm, then when it shattered, she looked down at it and quickly opened her hand to make sure she wasn't bleeding, she wasted no time pushing herself off the bed, not caring how dizzy she got or the feeling in her stomach, she quickly moved the glass to the garbage, before pulling the sheet off, making sure it didn't go through to the bedsheet. She worked fast, even getting a new blanket from the closet, before she managed to sit back down on the edge of the bed, her eyes screwed shut, blood seeping from the cut hand.

"I'm sorry sir, this... this is something I'd prefer not to share..." She finally said, ignoring the dizziness or the lurch in her stomach that made her want to curl up into a ball and just cry over the fact that she wasn't strong enough to be above jealousy.

"T-that is fine, sir..."

Maybe her voice was a little tight and maybe she couldn't help the fact that she felt like she was breaking inside as he assumed it was simply her being over worked. "Two days is more than enough, S-Smoker-san..." She couldn't help it, her lip being sucked in between her teeth once more, chewing at it as she looked down at her lap, trying hard to ignore the feeling that was creeping up over and through her that she should tell him.

"S-sir..." Her throat felt like it was closing over and it was hard to breathe, but she managed one big inhale through her nose before teases began running down her cheeks, her eyes trained on her lap as she made no sound. "I-I... Yes, I agree." She didn't know how her voice managed to remain unbroken, but she just wanted to curl up again and sleep and make him leave her alone. "Sir, you... don't have to come with me on my day off anymore. I'm sure you could make it up to Karen-san then."

Goddamnit, she hated the fact that she was being so self-sacrificing even though all she wanted to do was have some time spent with her commander where they could just laugh and be alone and not have to worry about beginning something only to have him have to go off and be with other people, she'd rather just be alone from the beginning. The jealousy only made the tears come harder and wiped her eyes with the back of her hand.

Wide brown eyes were staring at him as he punched the wall, tears streaming down her face. She didn't understand it, why he wanted to know so badly and why he didn't just walk out as he would if this was anyone else. She sighed and muttered the words out so gently, though she was sure he would hear them either way. "I... feel neglected, replaced, and above all else, jealous." There. She said it, but as quick as she could she was up and out of the room and quickly made it too the normal section of the train, ignoring the stares at the tears running down her pale and sickly looking face. She kept moving though, despite the angry lurch of her stomach and dizziness that threatened to make her fall over. Damn it...! Why couldn't she be stronger? Why couldn't she be above that?!

She was glad to have been put back into the bed, and could only keep her eyes on the ceiling listening to him, she noted he almost sounded jealous, but his words didn't help the feeling in the pit of her stomach. She forced herself to smile though, turning her eyes to look straight at him.

"... Sir, are you jealous that I want to call Hina-taisa a lot?"

The question wasn't meant to be offensive or anything, but maybe... him sharing this with her would make her feel better, even if it probably wouldn't.

She couldn't help but laugh, before shifting under the blankets, pulling her glasses off and set them back onto the table. She reached under the blankets and handed him the book. "Thank you, sir... that... made me feel better... I will make it up to you some how, I promise."

"Yes sir...!"

With that, Tashigi closed her eyes and let herself relax enough to fall into another light doze.
