This place is actually as impressive as it looks at first glance. The architecture reminds me of Loguetown's buildings but the canals for traveling are certainly... unique. Miss my bike. I still haven't tried the mizu meat but Nataku and Allen I picked up some mizu candy while I was checking on the ship's repairs. I got extra forgetting Yachiru isn't here so if you want some come get it.





A note to all crew: I don't care how "cute" you think the yagara sea bulls are, we are NOT keeping one! No more damn pets!

I have to leave to go rescue an idiot. No one do anything stupid while I'm gone, Tashigi's in charge. Any final questions ask now. And try not to leave the island. Especially you Lavi. If you want to take the sea train it can wait until I get back.

It is cool... the best in my opinion and it's just... nice of you to say so. Pirates normally wouldn't just because of who I am. So you're still an anomaly. Which shouldn't really take me by surprise given Straw-Hat I suppose but it does.

I just sort of landed here somehow and Luffy offered to pick me up. I didn't become a pirate on purpose. Just like I didn't become a Grim Reaper on purpose.

I hate hearing that. How many people become pirates just on accident? It's all wrong. If you're going to do something, it should be done with full conviction.

How did you become a soul reaper? I mean you told me about the toilet seat from a space station -- though I still don't get that but that's how you died. Not the soul reaper part.

Yeah, well. I just needed someone to pick me up. And I really like these people and I don't really give a shit whether they're pirates or not because they're the best friends I've ever had.

Okay so. Every reaper has a certain number of souls they have to take. Kind of like a quota. It's different for every reaper, and they don't tell us how many we have to do. You don't find out until you take the last one, and that last one becomes your replacement. So. I filled someone's quota.

.... Hn. The more I hear that the more... I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm sure they are "nakama" and whatever else. But it's frustrating. Straw-Hat DOES have conviction. It's why I chase him. But people who could be innocent civilians or marines just becoming pirates because they were rescued by pirates... it's infuriating. The World Government should do more about it because they're losing decent people to piracy over some idiotic reasons. Too many kids playing a game despite life and death consequences.

My whole existence is life and death. I wouldn't consider myself a casualty of piracy.

I still can't decide. I wouldn't consider it lucky by any means. And the fact that I died at all was definitely unlucky. I was only eighteen.

Aside from declaring war on the World Government to get back Nico Robin, breaking into Impel Down and declaring war AGAIN on the government this time to rescue his brother, I cannot name any truly "piratical" activities Straw-Hat's done other than the occasional eat and run. Well except the big one; punching a tenryuubito. But that's not so much piratical as fucking insane.

I don't rob graves, I just...pickpocket the recently deceased. And steal things from their homes if they die there.

I never had friends like I do here. And when we're out at sea I get extended vacations from my job, which I wouldn't EVER get at home.

Well you must like your job. I don't like taking people's souls. And yeah, we do. I wasn't allowed to make friends with the living back home. So it was just the other reapers. They were good friends but we were never particularly close.

I can see where that would get irritating. Most of my friends are marines but they get on my nerves quickly.

Yeah. I did, when I first started. I tried every way I could think of to save them. But I couldn't. And I can't.

Usopp has a private room so if I want to be away from them I can always go there. And the ship is big enough that there's usually somewhere to be alone.

Although even with my own quarters, they're too dman loud. The room is 3/4ths sound-proofed with cork and they still manage to be obnoxious. But part of that might be that Tim ate holes in the door.
