As for any other new feathers, once you've checked in at the Welcome Center and settled in, I'm Smoker, I offer training in the jitte or kickboxing. There's a Draft here every so often so there's no telling when you'll need to be able to fight. Might as well learn while you can. And I'd like to speak to anyone interested in setting up a more permanent justice system for this place. That is all.

[ooc: Ikki's been getting drunk constantly lately (back to back important sad dates for him) so Smoker handcuffed him with seastone in apartment. Action spam is totally welcome. Smoker won't stay in their apartment, and he is keeping the key on him like he said. The cuffs are incredibly strong. But simply trying to let Ikki out to steal the cuffs might be hard unless you're Mr. 3. If your character would want to try to steal the cuffs though, let me know and we can work something out XD]

[Shrugs. Smoker doesn't bend to even get along better with his friends, he's not about to do it for strangers and pirates.]

I'll leave it to you then. I've always been this way. [Scaring his entire hometown into calling him a monster, loose hound of the marines, accidentally scaring children even when he means well... no biggie.]

I'll talk to some people over the next few days, try to get input and a feel for the situation. I'll report back once I have adequate information.

I probably mentioned the police is pretty corrupt in my city. So I've had my share of bad run ins with them.

Right. Hn. Laws aren't always the same as justice though.

[Ginia nods in agreement and sits back at the bench, looking out at the empty playground. She wasn't a good guy, that much she knew. She wasn't a horrible person and there were worse, but there were things about her that were bad.]

Do you believe a person can do something morally wrong for all the right reasons?

[Oh dear. He's been wondering that for awhile... so he bides his time lighting up a new pair of cigars and puffing on them, leaning back and keeping the smoke above her head.]

I don't know. I think there's exceptions for everything. I let a pirate go because his goal was the same as mine; to stop another criminal. He did it for the sake of a friend. But he also let out hundreds of prisoners to run amok, just because it could help him rescue his brother -- including the same criminal he helped put in prison in the first place.

And then the brass with their absolute justice kill marines or non-criminals thinking they're in the right.

So yes. I suppose I'd have to say so. Just as you can do something good with the wrong intentions; doesn't make it any less of a good thing.

[The gesture is appreciated, but Ginia doesn't mind the smoke that much. Her best friend used to smoke all the time, so she's used to the smell.]

I see. You should probably know then I've done a lot of bad things for good reasons. Killed a lot of people to save lives.

[Snorts quietly.] People who believe in absolute justice don't think they're bad guys. There's a time and place for wars as well.
