I'm fairly certain one of the Whitebeard pirates took it the first time as a means to fight Blackbeard. However they got sent home so my jitte was left down the hall back then.

There weren't any tracks, but after the couple of weeks, anyone could have been there. Only the pirates understand its significance however.
