S-Smoker is back... [That's a bit hesitant.] Ikki, he... he might need help. Jitte and kickboxing lessons will return to normal, sorry everyone about the delay. Could I have a headcount of everyone still wishing to take them? I might need to reorganize his schedules.

[The last part is muffled as he starts to shut the journal.]

Oh, things have been very good. There was a scavenger hunt and Helios had a snow sculpture contest!

[And there was a weekend at the end of January that everyone forgot and Ginia ran a town meeting...but you know.]

Snow sculpture?

[That's okay, he already heard about those things. And he's trying to put together pieces, so this helps.] Who won? Did you enter?

Hmm.... I don't know. But I went and looked at everybody's sculptures and told them, "Good job!"

That was nice of you. What about the scavenger hunt?

Oh, everyone went around the village looking for nice things or answering questions. It was a lot of fun!

[She tilts her head to one side just a little.] Maybe we can have another one, so you can play, too.

[Waves a hand.] I'm sure I'd be bad at it.

Who organized it?

Hmm.... I wonder.

[She just sort of stumbled onto it.]

So what were people looking for in it?

We've been over this before Grune. Some people are bad.

[She just shakes her head. It's too bad Smoker still thinks like that. She'll have to work very hard to change his mind.]

Well, everyone was very nice while you were away. [Except for the part where her boyfriend cast a mindcontrol spell on one of her best friends. But she doesn't know about that.] There's nothing to worry about.

Sounds boring. [Or it would, if he really believed it was that quiet. He heard about Tony's fight club after all.]

Why would that be boring?

No opportunities to get stronger.

[Grune considers that for a little bit. With her, getting stronger isn't a matter of practice but of remembering what she can already do. But she knows that Walter spends a lot of time training, and Fenimore goes to her lessons with Suki, the same way Stella did. And Norma is looking for new eres to learn.

So, at the very least, she understands the concept. But:] Don't you have anyone to train with?

[He flushes a little, glancing into that coffee... and clears ~~his~~ her throat.]

Jitte, yes. Other things are harder to work out however. [It was a decision he reached while kidnapped, but it was insanely tricky to approach. And Smoker is not a people person :|]

Other things?

Devil fruit, haki. In my world, to slow down for even a second is to fall behind. Being away so long is a setback. And for those two things I don't have someone to train against.

[She thinks about that for a bit. She doesn't know what either of those things are. Later, she could ask some of her friends, like Ginia or Helios. They're both very smart, after all.

For now, though:] We could train together. Maybe it would help a little.
