[Heads out to the work part of the garage, and shushes the puppies.]

[he'll return it eventually. The puppies follow along happily and Ace gives them some lovings before returning to where Smoker was and waiting until he's in a position so that Ace can massage the back of his neck]

[He wasn't originally going to go BACK to work after a shower, but leading Portgas anywhere else seems too dangerous.]

[Besides, he planned to sleep down here until he got the room for Tashigi ready.]

I feel strange without it. [Shrugs, rolls his shoulders, starts to lean back, before he realizes what he's doing and snaps himself out of it, stubbornly leaning forward to work on something instead.]

[stops massaging and leans forward to wrap his arms loosely around Smoker's neck and says in his ear]
