Nice of them to leave my jacket. [AWKWARD PAUSE. The voice coming from Smoker's journal account is not his usual. Or from a male at all.]

What's with my voice?! [That just squeaks there in high-pitched worry.]

[He... she rather, clears her voice.]

S-Smoker is back... [That's a bit hesitant.] Ikki, he... he might need help. Jitte and kickboxing lessons will return to normal, sorry everyone about the delay. Could I have a headcount of everyone still wishing to take them? I might need to reorganize his schedules.

[The last part is muffled as he starts to shut the journal.]

...Even with having to change, Smoker is almost guaranteed to arrive first. Whoops.]

{And so he does, he'll just chill out and drink his coffee, be manly. No wait, that other thing. Yeah. Hopefully Grune doesn't mind that Smoker still hates shirts on principle. He does kind of wear the jacket zippered though. For now. And only because he got even more stares than usual and it was annoying.]

[Grune...would not notice if she got flashed for five straight minutes, sad to say.

Anyway, she eventually arrives at the tea shop! It takes her a few moments to see Smoker, since she starts looking for someone taller than her, but eventually she finds him. The moment she does, a big smile appears on her face.]

Hello, Smoker!

[She ambles over at top speed.]

[He might go back to unzippered then. He's not used to having his chest covered, even in the middle of winter.]

[And he waves.]

Grune. [He hates his female voice. It's grating and not deep, and squeaks to easily. Like Ikki and Lupin said, it's hard to sound firm and intimidating like this. But he has yet to figure out how to switch tactics.] How's your day going?

[She waves back, then comes to pull out a chair and sit down across from him.]

Oh, my day is going very well. What about you?

[Well....]

[A shrug.]

Better than my last month and a half. [He'd give her one of his infamous stares, but those are even less effective than his voice right now. So just big eyes focused her way with an arched eyebrow.]

Your last month and a half?

[Yeah, even the full-powered stare would have absolutely no effect on Grune. Sorry, Smoker.]

[It's true. And he knows it. It's just the principle of the thing.]

I was kidnapped by the Malnosso. [Gestures down vaguely at the boobs :|] Thus why I'm shorter. And a girl. [He's not entirely sure if she realized he was male before...]

[She did actually notice! ...Albeit in her vague way.

She looks a little startled at his words, however.]

[That's a very long time to be away from your friends.]

It took me awhile just to find out how long it was. Like I said... if I ever claim I want silence again just remind me of this time.

[At that, she actually reaches out and covers his hand over his coffee mug with hers.]

I'm sorry you were alone for such a long time. I'm glad you're back now.

[Don't mind him getting mentally a little freaked out by that. Though he'll try to stay cool.]

[Fortunately for him, she soon takes her hand back.]

Oh, things have been very good. There was a scavenger hunt and Helios had a snow sculpture contest!

[And there was a weekend at the end of January that everyone forgot and Ginia ran a town meeting...but you know.]

[That's okay, he already heard about those things. And he's trying to put together pieces, so this helps.] Who won? Did you enter?

Hmm.... I don't know. But I went and looked at everybody's sculptures and told them, "Good job!"

Oh, everyone went around the village looking for nice things or answering questions. It was a lot of fun!

[She tilts her head to one side just a little.] Maybe we can have another one, so you can play, too.

[Waves a hand.] I'm sure I'd be bad at it.

[She just sort of stumbled onto it.]

[Facepalms and drinks his coffee.]
