[This is a man who sounds pretty angry. Of course if you know Smoker well, then you might know he often sounds like that. Still, even for Smoker, clearly something's set him off.]

Welcome to New Feathers, if you haven't heard about the Shifts or Drafts yet, I suggest you look into it. If you want to learn basic self defense I could teach you, or Chun-Li could, or any of other teachers who offer it. Normally I'd offer to teach jitte as well, but I'm using flimsy knock-offs right now because some idiot seems to have borrowed it without permission.

[And here he gives a lethal glare to the camera.] I know a pirate took it before, and I've spent all this month hunting you down. I don't know who took it, but step forward now and I'll be far more lenient than if you continue to make me wait!

[His tone suggests that "lenient" means he'll only beat the thief half to death instead of two-thirds.]

I'll be by the barracks stacking rocks. [And making a snowman. Not that he's going to admit to that to anyone. Except kids maybe.]

[Sighs. You're not alone in asking this Henry.]

At least a dozen. Some of the Straw Hat crew, the captain of the Heart Pirates, Jack Sparrow, some of the Whitebeard crew, and so on.

[Henry's read of pirates. None of the stories being in positive light.]

They haven't hurt anyone have they?

[He's not sure if these pirate people are good or not but he just wants to make sure.]

Here or in their worlds?

And it depends on how you define "hurt," but you you'll probably be safe around them. [He says like his teeth are being pulled to get that much out of him.]

[He'll cautiously filter this, if not to incur the wrath of pirates.]

I mean they haven't killed people, have they?

Not here.

Not yet, to my knowledge.

[He suspects more, but he'd have to ask a certain someone, and he doesn't want her involved. In any case, there's no open investigations, and everyone knows his bias, so even if there was, they're not going to ask Smoker's help, much less trust him that much. And all of that doesn't say how much he'd tell Henry either, since Smoker isn't one to purposely terrify kids, even if he's not one to hide the truth from them either, much. But in any case, no murders of anyone that was missed and if they did, then they handled it on their own.]

[There's some relief there, can he tell?]

But, why would the steal your weapon? I mean, with what Malnosso does you'd think people wouldn't do that.

[He just grunts at that.]

It's made of seastone. The hardest substance in my world. Stronger than diamonds. It also neutralizes a devil fruit user's abilities, which is why I believe it was taken last time.

In my world, only marines have it, so with all the pirates from my world here, I'm the only one who carries seastone. If they have a fight amongst each other, or want to pick a fight with me, that would be motive.

Oh...but we're all fighting against the Malnosso though. Or trying to.

[What point would it have to hurt each other?]

But, I can try to help find it. What does it look like?

It's about six feet long, steel, and it's wrapped with white on the hilt. You ever seen a jitte before?

[Holds up the replacement practice one. It's smaller and flimsier, but it'll do.] Like this. Only mine's made of seastone.

[He's never seen one before but, upon seeing the smaller one he takes note of what it looks like.]

How are you settling in here? Everything okay?

But, I've been fine. I got an apartment, it's kind of weird being on my own though. I live around with a lot of nice people.

Are you all right on your own? It's definitely weird your first time. [Unspoken but heavily implied: And you seem really young to be all alone!]

I'll be okay. My floor mates check on me.

[Henry understands that it's weird to be on his own...but the fact of the matter is he's got no one else in this place. He's made friends but not well enough to move in with them.]

I am, I started to go recently. I didn't even know there was one up until the holidays.

Heh yeah, we don't have as many kids here as we used to. Though wher that's good or bad... [He shrugs.]

And it is. It's cool learning about other worlds. Especially that other kids around my age took out monsters.
